The Construction of Section 1 of the Western Arc of Sofia Ring Road under Operational Programme Transport Was Completed

Nearly BGN 48 million were invested in the construction of section 1 of the Western Arc of Sofia Ring Road which is between the road junction of Lyulin motorway and Sofia Ring Road and the bridge over the Kakach River. Today section 1 – Road ІІ-18 from km 59+400 to km 61+629 and from km 0+000 to km 0+780 was officially inaugurated. The Project is cо-financed by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union and the national budget through Operational Programme Transport 2007-2013.

13 km of Northern Speed Tangent Are Open for Traffic

The traffic along a 13-kilometer section of the Northern Speed Tangent is launched today. These are the sections between Botevgradsko Shose and Lazar Mihaylov Blvd. and from the Ring Road to the road for Trebich. The total length of the tangent is 16,54 km. The Project is Lot 70 from Operational Programme Regional Development 2007-2013 which is cо-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the national budget.

15 km of Road III-867 – Sole Road Connection to Zlatograd Were Reconstructed

The rehabilitation and the reconstruction of 15.4 km of road III-867 Madan – Zlatograd – Benkovski under European Territorial Cooperation Programme Greece – Bulgaria 2007-2013 was completed. The third-class road is on the territory of the regions Smolyan and Kardjali  and is the sole connection to Zlatograd and the surrounding populated areas. It connects the Municipality of Zlatograd to the neighboring - Madan, Nedelino and Kirkovo, and provides the connection between Road II-86 Rudozem – Smolyan – Asenovgrad and road I-5 Kardjali – Makaza. The investment is for over BGN 10,6 million.

Over 46,5 Million BGN Were Invested in the Construction of the Bypass Road of Montana

The construction of the bypass road of Montana with funds from Operational Programme Transport 2007-2013 was completed. The „Road I-1 (Е79) Bypass Road of the Town of Montana” from km 102+060 to km 114+512.20” Project is cо-financed by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union and the national budget under Operational Programme Transport. The total length of the section is 12.452 km.
