Nearly BGN 66 Million of the Budget Invested in Section Belokopitovo – Kaspichan of Hemus Motorway
The section Belokopitovo – Kaspichan of Hemus Motorway from km 337+302 to km 342+200 and the biggest road junction in our country – road junction Belokopitovo were launched for traffic. It will connect with road I-2 Ruse – Varna and with Road I-4 Koritna – Belokopitovo. The total length of the section is 4,898 km. The Project is under Program “New Construction” of Road Infrastructure Agency and it has been implemented in full with funds from the national budget. The investment is for nearly BGN 66 million.
The new motorway section was blessed with holy water for health and safe travels. Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Lilyana Pavlova, the Minister of Transport Ivaylo Moskovski, the Chairman of the Management Board of Road Infrastructure Agency, Eng. Lazar Lazarov, Mayors from the region, representatives of the Contractor, of the supervision and others attended it.
Minister Pavlova handed over the Permit for Use of the Project to Eng. Lazarov and thanked the builders who worked at temperature of over 40 degrees to complete the section as soon as possible.
AM Cherno More AD (JSC) is the Contractor of the Project. The value of the Contract is BGN 65 769 410,48 inclusive of VAT. The construction supervision was exercised by Patinvestengineering AD. The Designer is Patproekt EOOD (LTD).
Тhe construction of the 5-kilometer section of Hemus Motorway from Belokopitovo to Kaspichan and road junction Belokopitovo will help alleviate the traffic along the directions Sofia – Varna and Varna – Ruse. The transportation-operational expenditures will be reduced and the distance for traveling will be shortened by about 5 km. The transit and local transportation will be taken out of the villages of Belokopitovo and Panayot Volovo, by which the safety of the traffic will be increased and no inconveniences will be created for the residents of the populated areas.
The connection with the directions with heaviest traffic Varna – Ruse, Ruse – Varna, Shumen – Sofia and Sofia – Shumen will be made through road junction Belokopitovo.
